He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Adkins and Ray "Roy" Adkins; his brothers, Charles and Rodney Adkins; his grandfather Herman "Slick" (Sarah Ellen Adkins); his mother-in-law Janice Stone; his aunt Linda Stone; and his grandmother Margie Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Tracey Hinken; his son Christopher "Blake" Adkins (Shelly); his grandchildren, Aiden Sandifer, Julie Adkins, Tanner Adkins and Ricky Sandifer; his brothers, Terry (Jackie), Michael and Ricky Adkins (Charles Clemmons); his niece Christy Smith; his nephews, Cody, Brandon Adkins and Brian Samples; his sister-in-law Kim Hinken Johnson; and his close friend Chris Hinkle (Donna).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Center Point Baptist Church; 2094 County Road 21 Scottsboro, AL 35768.
