She was predeceased by : her husband Clyde "Uncle Josh" Varner; her parents, Erve Haynes and Vader Haynes; her children-in-law, Jamie Puckett Varner and Gary Pendergrass; and her siblings, Edward Haynes, Sid Haynes, Wilfur Haynes, Lester "Doc" Haynes, Daniel Haynes, Doug Haynes and Pallie Haynes Nix (Mauvee Presley).

She is survived by : her children, Rebecca K. Varner, David Varner (Melanie), Clay Varner (Annie), Russell Varner, Angie Varner Pendergrass and Loretta Roberts (Randy); and her sister Ruth Hancock. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
