He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Shannon Myers, Shelia Dixson, Richard McCurdy and Buddy McCurdy (Kim Warren); his mother Demple Evelyn McCurdy; his brother Roger McCurdy (Lisa); his grandchildren, Matthew Myers (Taylor), Molly Myers, Libby Hodges (Keenan), Lanie Anderson (Payne), J. L. McCurdy and Chase McCurdy; his great grandchildren, Hadley Myers, Sutton Myers, Titus Hodges and Riggs Hodges; his wife Mavis Kathleen McCurdy; and his father J. B. "Buddy" McCurdy, Jr..
