It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cody Steven Smith (Selma, Alabama), who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 33, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Cody Steven farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Cody Steven is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, L. D. Smith and Carl H. Stages, Sr.. He is survived by: his parents, Steven Smith and Sherry Smith; his wife Serenity Smith; his children, Averie Smith, Cayson Threadgill and Brenson Threadgill; his brother Shea Smith; and his grandmothers, Jacque Smith and Clara Stages.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc. (2900 Citizens Pkwy, Selma, AL 36701). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
