It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Richard L. Curtis of Selma, Alabama, who passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Malisa Curtis and Harry Curtis; his wife Minister Nan Brown Curtis; and his brothers, Charles, Walter and Henry Curtis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Caprice, Shenika, Staci Brooks (Gerald) and Jaclyn Wright (Kevin); his grandchildren, Ross Anderson, Carter Jones, Charlotte Brooks and Kevin J. Wright; and his siblings, Norma Jean Tate, Ira Rivers (Kenneth), Glenn Curtis Sr. (Darlene) and Cheryl Ratcliff.
