He is survived by: his daughter Brittany Ballard Rainwater (Blake); his grandchildren, Waylon Rainwater and Myra Rainwater; his stepchildren, Jonathan Orvis (Kayla), Brandon Orvis (Heather) and Amanda Orvis; and his siblings, Parham Ballard Ballard, Jr. (Mary Lou), Matthew Ballard and Mary E. Ballard Rollins (Don). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
