He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward Beaver and Ruby Parr Beaver; and his daughter Kathy Beaver. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Beaver; his children, Lisa Myers (Brian) and Jim Dempsey (Amy); and his sisters, Jeanette Lee (Tom) and Brenda Lester (Melvin). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Selma-Dallas County Public Library or Wanna-Be-Rescued.
