Gladys Marie White Peeke Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Marie White Peeke of Selma, Alabama, born in Sprott, Alabama, who passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband J. B. Peeke Jr.; her parents, James Lawley White and Mattie Pearl Ashe White; and her siblings, Nita White Childs, James Carson White and Cornelius Ralph White.

She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Peeke Reed (Barry) and Connie Peeke Shepherd (Lawson); her grandchildren, Amy Reed Dramer (Chris), Barry Bryan Reed (Shannon), Jennings Shepherd Tisdale (Richard) and Caitlin Marie Shepherd; her sisters, Ruby White Henley and Lillian "Bean" White Acton; and her sister-in-law Eleanor Peeke Derryberry. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
