She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dozier Hatfield, Sr. and HenraEtta Moschel Hatfield; and her siblings, Sonja H. Miller, Gene E. Hatfield, R. Wesley Hatfield, W. D. Hatfield, Jr., Alfred E. Hatfield, Charles Hatfield, Callie Hatfield, Richard Hatfield and Christine H. Clark.

She is survived by: her husband Donnie Shumate; her children, Brandon Shumate (Kim) and Audrey McNiese (Kevin); her grandchildren, Bryanna Shumate, DonAllen Shumate, Joshua Nielsen, Henley Nielsen, Hunter McNiese and Brookelyn McNiese; and her siblings, Larry Hatfield (Angela), Janice Roseberry (Bobby) and Elizabeth Johnson (Beth). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
