With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Melinda McDuffa of Sheffield, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 27, 2025 at the age of 61. As we bid adieu to Laura's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Laura has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her father Jackie Burns McDuffa; and her grandparents, William T. Brewer and Mae Dean Brewer. She is survived by: her mother Laura Mae Brewer McDuffa; her children, Matthew McDuffa (Laura) and Brittany McDuffa; and her brother Michael McDuffa.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Spruce Pine Community Center in Spruce Pine (9312 County Rd 22, Spruce Pine, AL 35585).
