She was predeceased by: her parents, William Southward and Odessia Southward; her husband Robert H. Fuqua; her brother Willie Leesbury Southward; her stepson David Fuqua; and her siblings-in-law, Floyd Brock, Mary Bean and Mary Helen Fuqua.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Brock; her daughters, Doris Elaine Johnson and Pippa Summerhill (Jeffrey); her stepchildren, Robin Davis, Bonnie Fuqua, Wayne Fuqua and Steven Fuqua; and her siblings-in-law, Fannie Sledge (Andy), Flora Fuqua of Leighton, AL, Sarah Tollfree of Stockton, CA and Leo Fuqua of Muscle Shoals, AL. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grace Memorial Funeral Home (501 Broad St, Sheffield, AL 35660). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cave Springs MB Church.
