He was predeceased by : his parents, Erwin Roden and Juanita Roden; and his stepson David Robinson. He is survived by : his wife Martha Roden; his daughter Belene Howell (Richard); his stepchildren, Debbie Johnson, Diane Pounders (Ricky), Chris Burcham and Scott Burcham (Chasity); and his sister Betty Pace (Ron). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ralph's honor to the Colbert County Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice.

“We grew up together as Ralph lived a block away on High Street. I cut thru his driveway on my way to the SHS football stadium. Franky was a year older than me and Ralph was a year younger and one, two, three we went into the Navy! I was on a destroyer in Pearl Harbor in 1958 and then Ralph showed up on a carrier! He took me on a tour of his ship and it was like he lived in a palace compared to my little hut! Lots of memories! May he rest in peace! Buck Locke”
