Raymond Eugene Isbell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Eugene Isbell of Sheffield, Alabama, who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Isbell and Alice Isbell. He is survived by: his siblings, James Isbell, Janie Sockwell and Amizona Ford; his wife Shirley; his children, Joni Isbell Presley and Michael Travis Isbell (New); his son-in-law Phillip Presley; his grandchildren, Hannah Ferguson and Luke Presley; his great grandchild Alice Ferguson; his nephew Thomas J Howard; and his niece Ellen Thomson (Isbell) of Madison, AL.

At his retirement he donated a year of service to UNA, with the funds that would have been allocated to his salary dedicated instead to supporting a scholarship fund for UNA students.
