He was predeceased by: his parents, Laws Hundley and Catherine Spence; and his sisters, Edith Hundley, Glenda Kay Spence and Emma Bullock.

He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Earl Jessie, Billy Jessie and Craig Jessie; and his siblings, Willie McNeal (Mary), James Michael McNeal (Lorene), James Charles McNeal (Wanda), Glenn Spence, Neal McNeal, Bobbie Ruth Wilson and Sallie Mae Dowdell. He is also survived by four grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
