He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wesley Goolsby (Bill) and Zemma Atchison Goolsby; his wife Sylvia Pate Goolsby (Patesie); and his brother Robert Goolsby (Bobby). He is survived by: his children, John Wesley Goolsby, Jr. (Leta) and Kelly Goolsby Armstrong (Mark); his granddaughter Jana Kelbie Armstrong Baker (Chase); his great grandchild Jon-Calvin Baker; his sister Janet Glenn; and his close friend Betty Mitchell.
