He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Douglas Schreck, Sr. and Violet Ray; and his stepfather Johnnie W. Ray. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia F. Schreck; his daughter Theresa S. Schreck (Tammy S. Schreck) of Silverhill, AL; and his grandson Dakota Schreck Havard (Lara) of Rotterdam.
