She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Allen and Marian Jean Key (Scott); and her husband Jeral Ronnie Carpenter. She is survived by: her children, Keith Shirah of Blue Springs, Alabama, Amy Gulledge (Chad) of Midland City and Lara Tyler (Ty) of Bakerhill, Alabama; her siblings, Ricky Key of Dothan, Alabama, Cheryl Heifner of Blue Springs and Lisa Bruner of Dothan, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Josh McCoy (Savannah), Hunter Gulledge, Logan Shirah (Anna), Dylan Gulledge (Morgan), Caleb Tyler (Fran), Brody Tyler (Madie), Kalei Faulk (Davey), Josie Tyler and Abigail Gulledge. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Peniel Baptist Church (2710 Co Rd 41, Skipperville, AL 36374). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery (2710 Co Rd 41, Skipperville, AL 36374).
