She is survived by: her children, Dianne Tharpe (John) of Skipperville and Michael Gassett (Julia) of Skipperville; her brother Mel Monk (Sherry); her sisters-in-law, Sara Blocker and Ann Mitchell; her grandson Jonathan Tharpe (Danika); her great grandchild JeorgieAnne Carol Tharpe; and her caregiver Tammy Prestwood.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home (508 Faust Ave, Ozark, AL 36360). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Morgan Baptist Church (3797 Co Rd 333, Skipperville, AL 36374).
