He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Rufus and Pauline Spruell. He is survived by: his wife Patti Palmer Spruell; his brother Johnny; his son Jason Spruell (Joy); his grandchildren, Nathan, London, Lance, Laurence Spruell, Rabon, Ralls and Jenni Pennington; his children-in-law, Ruth Spruell and Mike Pennington; his nephew Danny Elkins; his son Michael Derek Spruell; Patsy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sorrells Funeral Home (1315 W Lawrence St, Slocomb, AL 36375). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Southerly House (1609 Co Rd 74, Dothan, AL 36301).
Flowers are welcome, but so are donations in Spruell's memory to either Sardis Missionary Baptist Church in Dothan or Kitty Kottage in Dothan.
