Penny Sue Wood Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Penny Sue Wood (Slocomb, Alabama), who passed away on September 3, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Lonnie Alfred Wood; and her grandparents, Rufus, Addie Hyman, Richard and Annie Wood.
She is survived by: her mother Nancy Beth Hyman Wood; and her siblings, Fred Wood (Alicia), Phil Wood (Bobbi), Jimmy Wood (Lela) and Virginia Meredith (BJ). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Slocomb (225 N Dalton St, Slocomb, AL 36375). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
