Billy Hovey Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Billy Hovey of Smiths Station, Alabama. Billy, born on June 25, 1949, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Adam Hovey, Sr. and Mary Charles Daughtery Hovey; and his siblings, Ronald Eugene Hovey and Mary Alice Price. He is survived by: his daughter Brandy Gaskill (Adam); his siblings, Glender Ellen Clemons (Garrell), Betty Sue Grimm, James Ellis Hovey and Ralph Adam Hovey, Jr.; his close friend Sandra Dobbins; his grandchildren, Dakota and Andrew Granger; and his great grandchild Alaia Granger. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 AM and at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home - Phenix City (3738 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36868).
