It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Felton Adkinson of Smiths Station, Alabama, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Grady Adkinson and Fannie Mae Galloway Adkinson; and his sister Alice Faye Dasinger. He is survived by : his wife Helen Jenella Best Adkinson; his daughters, Teresa Floyd (Bill), Tina Belfance (John) and Carla Godwin (Sidney); and his grandchildren, Zach, Hannah, Clay, Danny, Brandy, Jake, Chris and Ashlee. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
