He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie L. Burdett and Aimee Harvey Burdett; his wife Shirley Dean Ivey Burdett; his brother Max Doyle Burdett; and his sister-in-law Martha Kitchens Burdett.
He is survived by: his sons, David Mike Burdett and Jody; his daughter-in-law Patricia Burdett; his daughter Stacey; his son-in-law Jeff McHan; his daughter Sarah; his son-in-law Alton Martin; his brother B. L. Burdett; and his siblings-in-law, Sharlot Southern, Cheryl Ivey and Kennon Ivey. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Snead Funeral Home (170 Richman Dr, Snead, AL 35952). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
