Nan Black Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2025, at the age of 71, Nan Black of Somerville, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Nan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Nan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest McAlister and Evelyn McAlister of Huntsville. She is survived by: her spouse Jerry W. Black; her children, Sara Black and Andrew Black; her granddaughter Haley Black; her sister-in-law Linda Grissom of Meridianville; and her brother Ernest McAlister II of Huntsville.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
