We announce the death of Vann Wray of Somerville, Alabama, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 76. Vann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Wray (Gertrude) and Gertrude Dunn Wray. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Wray of Somerville; his children, Chris Wray (Melissa) of Union Grove and Lori Trammell (Jeff) of Holly Pond; his siblings, James Wray (Ann) of Hartselle, Myra Patterson and Judy Atkins of Hartselle; his stepchildren, Kyle Brakke (Morgan) of Huntsville and Katie Brakke of Somerville; and his grandchildren, Kellie Dozier, Toni Barnett (Patrick), Brittany Taylor (Jarrod), Kasey Hawkins, Jordan Trammell and Michael Gentry (Jessie). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, And a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home Chapel (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640).
