We bid farewell to Phillip Wayne McDaniel Jr. of Spanish Fort, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 15, 2025 at the age of 51. Phillip touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He is survived by: his wife Karen Janes McDaniel; his children, William Daniel Shultz and Heaven Leigh Shultz; his parents, Nancy Rushing Paul and Barry T. Paul; his siblings, Josh McDaniel (Patsy), Paula Rushing and Kelly Ray; his grandson Leo Alexander Boutwell; his parents-in-law, Homer and Shirley Janes; and his siblings' children, Andrea Moore, Aaron Rushing, Kaitlyn Porter, Emily Harris, Chris Ray, Chad Ray and Brandon McDaniel. He is also survived by nine great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Spice Pond Baptist Church (8100 Spice Pond Rd, Semmes, AL 36613). A reception will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
