He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walter Johns and Cora Lee Handley. He is survived by: his wife Anita LeGear Johns; his children, Roy Johns II (Nicole) and Angela Johns; his grandchildren, Kacie Blankenship (Taylor), Roy Johns III (Mary Elizabeth), Lillian Boyer and Eleanor Boyer; and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Blakelyn, Brent and Roy Johns IV. He is also survived by five siblings.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Calendar Fairhope Chapel (19698 Greeno Rd, Fairhope, AL 36532). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Alabama State Veteran's Memorial Cemetery (34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, AL 36577).
