He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Hunter and Jeanette Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Emily Acker Hunter of Spring Garden; his son Joel Hunter of Spring Garden; his parents-in-law, Pam and Ted Acker of Spring Garden; his sister Carrie; his brother-in-law Matthew Yakely of Piedmont; and his nieces and nephews, Natalie and Sawyer Yakely.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory (6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at the Piedmont Memory Gardens (236 Vigo Rd, Borden Springs, AL 36272).
