He was predeceased by : his parents, George W. Yager, Jr. and Mary Eugenia Masters Tubbs; his stepfather Charles Henry "Skip" Tubbs; his grandparents, Cecil Cosbay Masters, Mary Louise Blair Masters, George W. Yager, Sr. and Inez Glaze Yager; and his uncle John Eulton Masters.

He is survived by : his son Beyton Lee Yager (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Braxton Yager and Delila Yager; his siblings, Gary Yager (Regina), Melissa Paulk and Gayla Kuykendall (Nick); his stepsiblings, Jeff Tubbs, Scott Tubbs (Teresa) and Christy Rigdon (Kent); and his nieces and nephews, Fallon Roberson (Jaysen), Madi Moon and Bryan Thigpen.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Peoples Chapel Funeral Home (195 Brooklane Dr, Hueytown, AL 35023). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
