He was predeceased by: his wife Jo Buttner; his sister Armenia B. Clemmons; and his sons-in-law, Joe Walker and Ed Higginbotham. He is survived by: his siblings, Dana Paul Buttner of Birmingham, AL and Melanie McCrary of Decatur, AL; and his children, Debbie Evans (Bo) of Springville, AL, Dan Buttner of Springville, AL and Milinda Higginbotham of Birmingham, AL.. He is also survived by six grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens East (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235).
