She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard F. Hughey, Sr. and Mary Moseley; her husband Clyde Wayne Swindal; and her siblings, Peggy Stone and Richard F. Hughey, Jr..

She is survived by: her sister Sandra Reed; her great-niece Abbi Taylor; and her caregivers, Bernice Jackson, Maeberta Hatcher and Dr. Hannah Zahedi, MD.
