She is survived by: her husband Kerry Standridge; her children, Michelle Standridge Ellison, Ben Standridge (Rebekah) and Nicholas Standridge (Heather); her grandchildren, Dylan Ellison, Austin, Gabe Standridge and Baylor Standridge; her mother-in-law Marie G. Standridge; her sister Rita Smith (George); and her siblings-in-law, Teresa Wilson, Pam Gulledge (Ronnie) and Jeff Standridge (Lori). She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests to make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) in Melinda's memory, as this was her most cherished charity and very dear to her heart.
