It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Specht of Stevenson, Alabama, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Specht and Rose Specht (Rybarski) of In Hammond, IN.; his siblings, Georgie, Chuck Specht and Carolyn Oliver; and his wife Joan.

He is survived by: his children, Tammie Specht of Francis, OK, Jim Specht (Heather), Mark Specht (Angel) of Blue Springs, MO, Bryan Specht (Angela) of Francis, OK and Rob Specht (Tiffany) of Francis, OK.; and his stepchildren, Megan Payne (Tony), Ricky Bennet (Jodie) and Danielle Guess (Mike) of Alabama.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Home - Stevenson (1214 Kentucky Ave, Stevenson, AL 35772). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Stevenson City Cemetery.
