She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Steele; her parents, Thomas "Tommie" Mayfield and Novella Anderson Mayfield; and her brother James Floyd Mayfield. She is survived by: her son Brian Keith Steele (Jerrie); her sisters, Dorothy Powell (Richard), Phyllis Russell (Gaylen), Elaine Heard (Wayne) and Pam Mayfield Rogers; her grandchildren, Heather Thomas (Jody), Hunter Steele (Peyton), Mallory Treadwell (Adam) and Will Kirk (Kristin); her great grandchildren, Emmalyn, John Parker, Hank Steele, Maxwell Thomas, Blake, Brewer Treadwell, Ethan and Adam Thomas; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Townson, Linda Raulston (Clyde) and Roberta Mayfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rudder Funeral Home - Stevenson (45015 AL-277, Stevenson, AL 35772). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:40 PM at the same location.
