He was predeceased by: his son Neill Gonce. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gonce; his children, Amy Taylor (Tim), Maribeth Hughes, Rachel Gonce Kittrell (Buddy) and Wilson Gonce (Tena); his grandchildren, Sara Taylor Nelson (Dalton), Catherine Hughes, Nathan Smart (Michelle), Jordan Patalas, Gabriel Gonce, Rowan Gonce, Oran Gonce, Silverly Favot and Katie Lewis (Mike); his great grandchildren, Lilly Smart, Harper Smart, John Luke Nelson and Kit Lewis; and his siblings, Colleen Whitver (Harry), Crisler Shelby (Sam), Wilson Gonce (Nikki), Terrill Gonce (Evelyn), Wenda Lovelace (Ron) and Jenny Gore (Jerry).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rudder Funeral Home - Stevenson (45015 AL-277, Stevenson, AL 35772). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gonce Church of Christ (1964 Co Rd 56, Stevenson, AL 35772). A burial will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at the Cumberland Cemetery.
