He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Sanders and Grace Sanders; his brothers, Jimmy and Eddie Sanders; and his stepson James Waldrop.

He is survived by: his wife Margie Sanders; his son Wayne Holcomb; his stepdaughter Marlene Waldrop; his brother Billy Gordon Sanders (Elaine); his grandchildren, Chris Holcomb (Jessica), Taylor Holcomb (Sandra) and Blake Holcomb (Patty); and his great grandchildren, Kaden, Xander, Asher, Anna, Tyson, Kinsley and Kye Holcomb.
