He is survived by: his wife Sue Franks of Sulligent, AL; his daughter Reba (Dwain Cantrell) of Sulligent, AL; his stepchildren, Natalie Elkins (Jerry) of Moundville, AL and Matthew Myers (Jeanine) of Russelville, AR.; his grandchildren, Daniel Cantrell of Sulligent, AL and Amanda Knight (Josh) of Sulligent, AL.; his stepgrandchildren, Ben Myers, Anna Myers of Fayetteville, AR, Rachel Neiken (Steven) of Russelville, AR, Daniel Rickman (Candice) of Moundville, AL, Rebekah Marshall (Sebastyn) of Duncanville, AL and Jacob Rickman; his great grandchildren, Eli Cantrell, Olivia Cantrell, Abel Cantrell, Iris Cantrell, Adaline Cantrell, Ava Cantrell, Elizabeth Knight, Alaina Knight, Jesse Knight and Abigail Knight; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Miracle Rickman, Jude Rickman, Ember Marshall and Gabriel Rickman.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freewill Chapel Freewil Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Frewwil Chapel Freewill Baptist Church (215 Brown St, Sulligent, AL 35586). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the Wofford Cemetery.
