He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Hayes and Flossie Eldridge Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Hayes of Sulligent, AL; his children, Lee Hayes of Huntsville, AL, Kristie Plunkett of Sulligent, AL and Melinda Humbers (Tony) of Sulligent, AL.; and his grandchildren, Logan Humbers (Amber), Jesse Humbers (Hannah), Rayne Hayes, Shawna Plunkett, Marina Plunkett, Storm Plunkett, Brett Plunkett and Aleck Plunkett. He is also survived by Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Otts Funeral Home (4255 US-278, Sulligent, AL 35586). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at the Sulligent City Cemetery.
