He was predeceased by : his parents, Loys Callahan and Elizabeth Jones Callahan; and his siblings, Jimmy Callahan, Faye Smith, Betty Martin and Nita Teague.

He is survived by : his sister Regina Whitaker (Ralph). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
