He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Sims; his brother Johnny Sims; his nephew Justin Sims; and his close friend Leon Russell. He is survived by: his daughter Shana Sims; his son-in-law Dustin Blackmon; his granddaughter Khaliah Sims; his father John Wayne Sims; and his girlfriend Lynn Steele.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the John Wayne Sims Residence (525 Wilson Ln, Sylacauga, AL 35151).
