He is survived by: his children, Cindy Lacey (Johnnie) of Ashland, Wendy Prescott (Kenny) of Lake City, FL, John Scottie McVey of Alex City, Rickey McVey of Alex City, Samuel Eugene "Dean" Brown of Talladega and Danny Brown of Ashland; and his brother William McVey (Luvinue) of Wadley. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
