She was predeceased by: her parents, Andy Jackson and Louise Johns Byrd; and her sons, Stevie L. Avant and Ricky L. Avant (Kim). She is survived by: her children, Donald W. Avant, Teresa A. Jones and Darlene A. Blocker. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
