With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Barnett of Sylacauga, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Kristi Greene; his parents, James Barnett and Monnie Barnett; his brother-in-law Leon Dale; and his aunt Gertrude Carroll.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Barnett; his children, Shelley Kelley, Tracie Blankenship and Michael Barnett (Melinda); his grandchildren, Tyler McKinney, Tanner Barnett (Kate), Madison Barnett, Shane Blankenship (Cassidy), Ally Blankenship and Ryan Whaley (Hayden); his great grandchildren, Hudson Whaley and Hadley Waites; and his siblings, Randy Barnett (Laura) and Dot Dale. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Radney-Smith Funeral Home (320 N Elm Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Radney-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (320 N Elm Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150). A committal service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Radney-Smith Funeral Home (320 N Elm Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150).
