He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Jean Hoch; his wife Kathrine Bunch Lyda Haisten; his parents, Mellis William Haisten and Ollie Mae Machen Haisten; and his siblings, Wallace, Mellis W Jr. Balton, Winston, Malcolm Haisten, Bessie White and Ruby Moore.
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert (Bob) and Pam Bryant of Sylacauga; his children, Thomas W Haisten (Myrtle) of Quitman, MS, Deb Gatley (Rick) of Portsmouth, England, Elizabeth Gresham (Becky) and Tammy Hanks of Sylacauga, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Jeff Haisten (Jessica), James Massie of Lexington, Tosha Massie (John Dierkson) of Sylacauga, Mike Ward and Kristi Ball of Lewiston, Idaho..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Radney-Smith Funeral Home (320 N Elm Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Radney-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (320 N Elm Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150).
