Sylacauga- Funeral Service for Franklin Alan Whaley, 64, will be Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 2 Pm at Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Whaley and Rev. Randy Liner Officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Whaley went home to be with Jesus March 25, 2024 at Talladega Healthcare. He was a truck Mechanic for Floyd and Beasley for many years, in his younger years he was a wrestler.
He is preceded in death by his father Johnny Frank Whaley, grandson John Ezra Kyle Riddley, and nephew Eric Whaley.
He is survived by his mother; Marie Mellon and husband Joe of Anniston, one daughter; Amanda VanWagner and husband Michael of Childersburg, two sons; Alan Whaley of Mobile, Arnold Whaley of Mobile, three brothers; Doug Whaley and wife Angela of Talladega, Danny Whaley and wife Angie of Fayetteville, Dewayne Whaley of Missouri, five grandchildren; Matthew VanWagner, Alexis Sky Riddley, Maddison VanWagner, Tori Riddley, Donna’Ann VanWagner, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael VanWagner, Doug Whaley, Dewayne Whaley, Matthew VanWagner, Matthew Meeks, and Randy Liner.
Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home will direct the service.
