It is with sadness that the passing of Jacqueline Carpenter Freeman of Talladega, Alabama is shared. Jacqueline, born on April 1, 1934, passed away on October 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lee Carpenter and Bula Pettus Carpenter; her husband Gene Freeman; and her brothers, Don Carpenter and James Carpenter.
She is survived by: her sons, Joel Freeman (Mary) of Matthews, NC and Matt Freeman (Wendy) of Panama City, FL; her grandchildren, Ben Freeman (Kristen) of Matthews, NC and Maren Freeman of Panama City, FL; her great grandchildren, Katie and Will Freeman of Matthews, NC; and her brother Wayne Carpenter (Linda) of Tennessee. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Usrey Funeral Home (516 North St E, Talladega, AL 35160). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Pine Hill Memorial Park (35036 AL-21, Talladega, AL 35160).
