He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gardner and Gladys Sims Gardner; his brother Leslie Gardner; and his father-in-law Johnny Brown. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gardner; his children, JoAnn Green (Tommy) and Wayne Gardner; his sister Sherry Tomlin; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gardner and Casey King; his niece Crystal Jones (Eugene); and his nephew Fred Williams.
