He was predeceased by: his wife Idell Mitchell Evans; his parents, Early J. Evans and Iola Lumpkin Evans; his siblings, Doris Frizzell, Montez Allen, Catherine Carwile, Mary Raney, Jewell Evans, Lina Meadows, Christine Carter, Clarence Evans and E. J. Evans Jr.; and his granddaughter Karina Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Bridges (Brad), Donald Evans and Sandra Evans; his grandchildren, Brad Bridges Jr. (Brittany), Bobby Adamson (Diana), Deidre Rainwater (Keith), Marshall Bridges (Tori), Lindy Bridges and Brandon Evans; his great grandchildren, Jacob Adamson, Tiffany Adamson, Emmalyn Johns, Wyatt Bridges, Kennedy Bridges, Gabriel Adamson, Kaelyn Rainwater and William Bridges; and his siblings-in-law, George Mitchell (Elaine), Rosie Shulch (Michael), Arleen Mitchell and Annette Evans. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
