He was predeceased by: his wife Mary George Mann McKenzie; his son William Gilliard "Gil" McKenzie; and his parents, George McKenzie and Clara McKenzie. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Melanie McLendon McKenzie; and his grandchildren, Sally Claire McKenzie, William Gilliard McKenzie II and Phillip George McKenzie (Baylor).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel (255 Friendship Rd, Tallassee, AL 36078). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
