He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Elder (Story); his sister Betty Jo Sims; and his parents, Sterling Curtis and Katie Mae Elder. He is survived by: his sons, Sterling Elder, Randy McQueen (Kristin Lane) and Mike McQueen (Stephanie McQueen); his niece Carla Jo Taylor; and his nephews, Jimmy Sims and Larry Sims.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Linville Memorial Funeral Home (84632 Tallassee Hwy, Eclectic, AL 36024). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
